Prayers For Peace

Yesterday, the 24th of February, marked four years since the invasion of Ukraine.
The very many who have: been displaced; sacrificed; suffered; and died; were profoundly remembered.
They always will be.
Such displacement, sacrifice, suffering, and death continues each day.
We continue to think of all who help, and care for, the victims of conflict and war.
We equally reflect on all those from our community who have been, and are, affected and impacted.
“The Black and Gold Spirit” is ultimately about Care.
Care of others. Care for ourselves. Care for what we do. Care for what others do.
We most sincerely and deeply hope and pray for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, and globally, around the world.
Peace means the absence of conflict, invasion, and war.
Peace is deep, empathetic, equal, fair, harmonious, holistic, kind, inclusive, and thoughtful.
Peace treats others as we ourselves wish to be treated.
Peace values the vulnerable.
Peace is a belief and an action.
Peace is Love.
And Love is Peace.
Peace is something both outer, around the world, and inner, in our hearts.
Peace without and peace within.
