Thought For The Day – Monday 2nd June 2025
Welcome Back
Pictured above, Left: T.B.S.H.S. this morning. With time, nurture, patience and vision, the trees grow, flourish and give life. Right: A message from last week.
We hope you had a happy, healthy and safe half-term. Thank you for everything last half-term.
Another exciting half-term awaits in June and July. Every day, and week, is a fresh opportunity.
Good luck to Year 8 students commencing their examinations today and to Year 12 students beginning their examinations later this week. Take every exam and every answer at a time. Read, and answer, the questions carefully, confidently and humbly, with a clear question focus. Make sure revision is active, engaging and memorable. Look after health and wellbeing in a holistic approach.
Well done to Year 7 students for their approach and focus to their examinations in the final week of last half-term.
Of course, for Years 7, 9 and 10 progress continues in lessons, beyond examinations. Next season begins now.
Equal very best wishes to Year 11 and Year 13 students resuming their public, external examinations today. Continued thanks to the invigilators. In this period of very significant assessment, continual reflection and review, as well as revision, with appropriate and timely rest and recharge is important. It is only ever too late for that particular examination paper, when the script is submitted. Standards need to be kept high throughout the game and the season. Keep going. Give (y)our very best. Summer holidays is the reward.
Like life itself, people do their very best, using their unique brilliance, to answer questions asked of them humbly, respectfully, selflessly and thoughtfully, doing the very best they can.
In life, everyone’s examination paper is different, as is their personal story. But we greatly encourage, help and support each other.
