Students Volunteer to Tidy Up Bishop’s Stortford
30 Students go Litter picking for TUBS
On a surprisingly warm early December afternoon, nearly thirty students and five staff volunteers spread some Black & Gold spirit through the local streets by completing a comprehensive litter pick. The initiative is driven by the local charity group TUBs (Tidy Up Bishop’s Stortford), who kindly lend us their equipment once per term.
This seemingly small act of kindness has a massive impact on the overall impression of our local area and ensures our neighbours gain a true understanding of the kind-natured students who attend our school.
All students who volunteered received house points for their work and were congratulated for contributing to their community. There will be another chance next term, so keep an eye on the website for TUBs as their community litter pick dates are published online. TUBS
