Sixth Form – The Flagship of our School
Our Senior Team
Our Senior Team
We offer a great range of subjects to choose from and we would encourage you to choose the subjects which you enjoy the most and to play to your strengths, whilst also bearing in mind any career aspirations that you may already have. For example, if you wish to become a doctor you would need to study Chemistry and Biology. If you wish to become an engineer, studying Maths will be essential. However, if you are not sure what career path you wish to follow, select subjects that you enjoy or find interesting as we believe that our happiest students are our best performing and most motivated. Our own students are more than happy to share their reasons for selecting their subject combinations – so feel free to speak to them during our open evenings, guidance meetings and induction days.
When we come to create our timetable, we do our utmost to ensure that as many subject combinations as possible can be accommodated. To further enhance your curriculum, you will choose an Enhancement Option that is designed to prepare you for undergraduate study, leadership or employment. You can find more information about all our courses – and the GCSE grades that they require – in our Options and Subjects booklet.
Our most recent Ofsted report praised our exceptionally high quality guidance and, if you would like any advice on which subjects to choose, then you can contact the school and we would be very happy to talk through your options.
Congratulations to our Senior Team for 2025-2026!

James– A-Level Biology, History and Mathematics
It was a tough decision deciding what subjects to take at the end of year 11 but I am more than happy with the three I chose as they are a good balance between subjects that I have a genuine interest in as well as being a strong combination for future options.
It is a privilege to be appointed as head boy and I hope to promote the cohesion of our sixth form community and the wider school. As an internal student, I also value the importance of me acting as a positive role model for the younger students as the role models I had coming through the lower school had an key role in shaping who I am today. The new school site is very much a ‘blank canvas’ and I hope that our senior team this year can leave a positive, lasting imprint.
Isabelle – A-Level Maths, History and English Literature
‘I am currently studying subjects that I am deeply interested in, particularly history, and I appreciate the versatility that the three of my subjects offer between them as I continue to explore potential career paths.
Being appointed as Head Student is an incredible honour and I am excited to fuel my energy and enthusiasm into supporting both my peers and the wider school community. I hope to build on the incredibly strong foundations formed by previous senior teams, and uphold their high standards, whilst working with my team to create our own lasting impact.’
I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field hence my scientific subjects. But I wanted my last subject to explore different parts of my mind. After starting these courses I haven’t regretted it since.
Catherine – A-Level History, English Literature and Politics
I’m Deputy Head and Head of Committee here at TBSHS. As always, as the Head of Committee, our aim is to put on a fun successful Winter Ball and Prom for all. The events we put on are so important to create connections and memories, so we hope to continue this (and maybe make a few of you cry at Leavers as well). We hope it will be enjoyable and create many memories to come! I have a great enthusiasm for Maths and the Sciences, so I always knew I wanted to go into engineering. My subject choices reflect my current interests, and my future career ambitions.
Robert – A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry
I am excited and honoured to take up the role of Deputy Senior Student for the coming year. Leading the Sixth Form Council will give me the opportunity to use my peers’ views to make improvements. In my role as head of Admissions and Alumni, I hope to encourage prospective students and teachers, and make them feel welcome in our community. I aim to make a positive contribution to the sixth form and the wider school community through these roles.
Matilda– A-Level Psychology, Maths, English Language
“Studying Psychology, English Language and Maths at A level has given me a broad academic variety , which I hope to build on by pursuing a degree in Law at university. After joining TBSHS Sixth Form, I’ve been inspired by the welcoming atmosphere across the school. I’m incredibly proud to be part of the senior team and honoured to serve as Deputy Head Girl. I look forward to making a positive impact on our school community both now and for future students.”
Evan – A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Music
I’ve always had a strong interest in STEM subjects, especially maths, which I hope to study at university. Alongside this, I have a passion for music – I’ve enjoyed performing in ensembles both in and outside of school so studying A Level Music has been particularly rewarding, as it’s deepened my understanding and appreciation of the subject.
I’m honoured to have recently been appointed Deputy Head Student of TBSHS, Head of Lower School Engagement. It’s a privilege to give back by supporting and encouraging younger students, just as I was inspired by older students when I first joined the school. I have no doubt that, as a team, we’ll make a lasting, positive impact on both the Sixth Form and the wider school community—for current students and those to come.
Tom– A-Level Geography, Business and Media
I’m both honoured and excited to be a member of this year’s Senior Team, particularly responsible for the Marketing & Promotion of TBSHS 6th form.
With this position, I aim to enhance the sixth forms digital presence whilst communicating the values, achievements and opportunities within our community. I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing development of student engagement and representing the voice of the Sixth Form in a meaningful way. From managing social media campaigns with engaging content to supporting charities, open days and events, I hope to create a more connected and inspiring environment for current and prospective students.
Emily – A-Level Psychology, Sociology and English
I’m thoroughly enjoying studying Psychology, Sociology and English Language at A-level. These subjects have deepened my passion for understanding how individuals interact with their environments and contribute to society. I am thrilled to be part of this year’s Senior Team as Deputy Head of charities, and I am especially excited to lead engaging and meaningful charity events that bring our school community together to support great causes.
