TBSHS A-Level Results – August 2025
Relocation doesn’t distract High School students

There was much to smile about when the first set of A-Level and BTEC results were collected at the new Beaumont Avenue site by the outgoing Year 13 students of The Bishop’s Stortford High School. There were many ecstatic youngsters celebrating some excellent results, with the vast majority of students successfully gaining places at their first-choice university or apprenticeship scheme.
Dale Reeve, Headteacher at TBSHS, said “I am delighted with this impressive set of results and thrilled for the students. Despite the inevitable disruption of relocating the school halfway through their A-Levels, lots of them really managed to ‘lock in’ when it mattered and showed a great attitude towards their exam preparation, which has clearly paid off. Whilst we’re obviously pleased for those high-achieving students who have gained places on prestigious Oxbridge or medicine courses, there are many more whose excellent individual performances have put them secure promising futures, whether that be at university, an apprenticeship or directly into employment. This was a truly Black & Gold group of students who absolutely bought into sixth form life at TBSHS. Their academic outcomes are obviously crucial for their next steps, but the character they have shown over the last two years will serve them just as well in the future. I pay tribute to our wonderful staff, particularly the sixth form management team, who worked hard to nurture them so effectively during their time at the school.”

Rahul Rana (4A*) – St John’s College, University of Cambridge, Medicine

In addition, Naeema Khan and Dan Harris have gained places to study medicine at Brighton & Sussex and Leeds respectively and, following gap years, Dan White will study medicine at Plymouth, while David Badcock (Engineering) and Robin Munday (History) both now head off to the University of Oxford.
George Munro, Head of Sixth Form, added: “It’s been a great day for so many of our students and it’s really reassuring that so much hard work has paid off. I’m so pleased for this fantastic group of students. Although they were very committed to the enrichment side of sixth form life and maintained a lovely community spirit, they also took their studies seriously and put in the hard yards at the right time, which has clearly opened doors for them. With close to 200 students in the cohort, inevitably one or two have fallen a bit short of their aspirational targets, but on the whole they have done incredibly well and really should be very proud of both their achievements and the character they have shown. I’d like to congratulate them all and wish them every success with their future endeavours.”
