Thought For The Day – Friday 13th February 2026
Thank You
The photograph above was taken yesterday morning.
Thank you to everyone for their very positive contributions to, and support of, the school community in the past six weeks.
In mock examinations, lessons, parents’ evenings, and extra-curricular activities, this has been a very busy time once again.
And, though the weather has been cold, our hearts have been very warm.
For the sun shines in our hearts.
We wish you a happy and healthy half-term.
Thank you, and very best wishes, to all participating in educational activities and visits this half-term, and those staff so generously giving of their time, and expertise, to lead and support.
As always, thank you very much to the unsung heroes of carers, guardians, and parents. They will always be the inspirational foundation.
Of course, everyone will mark their half-term in different ways as they rest, relax, recharge, reflect, caring for others and themselves.
Through a vision, a belief, a book, or acts of giving, people can travel to the moon… and back.
We will reflect on what has gone well this half-term, and what we seek, and wish, to enhance and improve, both for others and ourselves.
We respect those of all cultures. The Lunar New Year, the “Year of the Horse”, begins on the 17th of February.
We respect those of all faiths. Next week, Christians begin Lent on Ash Wednesday, whilst Muslims will commence Ramadan at the sighting of the new crescent moon. Each are unique to the religions though at their heart these vital observances represent a holy time of deep devotion. remembrance, and sacrifice, before essential and deeply profound holy days to come.
As always, we keep in our hearts and thoughts anyone, locally nationally, or internationally, going through challenging times.
And, as we transition from winter to spring, may we seek, and give, hope, love, and colour to ourselves and everyone.
