Bridging Task

Task Outline:  Produce these tasks on loose pieces of A3 Paper

A level | Personal Investigation

*Found Imagery | 2 Pages, A3

Gather found imagery, explore, brainstorm, and look at topical issues.  Think about the imagery.  Make this interesting.  It should not just be a page that looks like a scrapbook.  Consider composition, colour, and subject matter.  Think about what is going on in the news, cut out articles and images from newspapers.

*Observational Drawings | 2 Pages, A3

From the imagery selected and presented, produce 2 pages of really strong observational drawings.  This can be done in pencil or pen, and can be a large drawing or a series of smaller studies.

*Proposal Outline | 1 Paragraph

Consider a theme/title and think about how could it be broken down into different subheadings that can be the starting point for your exploration?

Marking Criteria / Assessment Method

This will start the development of your Personal Portfolio, Component 1, for your A level.  You will be awarded marks for this work that will contribute to your overall coursework grade.
