Today was Sixth Form Charities Day at TBSHS and our Year 13 really pulled out all the stops to raise money and awareness of their chosen charities; Cardiac Risk in the Young, (CRY) and Help for Heroes.

Held annually in memory of two former students, Caroline (Caz) Johnstone (2008) and Alex Cheer (2009),  who sadly died whilst in the 6th Form at TBSHS, the day raises funds for CRY in memory of Caroline, and Help for Heroes which was a charity supported by Alex.

By tradition, the girls dress as army soldiers and the boys as fairies and the whole 6th Form centre is much more colourful than usual!

Other fundraising activities included a fantastic cake stall run by Yr 13 Caroline O'Prey, Ollie Jones and team, (Very much enjoyed by Mr Stark and Mr Munro), and the popular dodgeball in the Sports Hall during Wednesday's Enrichment time.

It is unique to TBSHS and long may it continue!
