Thought For The Day:  Friday 20th November 2020: Inspirations

Who inspires you?

What inspires you?

Today we remember Mr. Darren Solomons.

Mr. Solomons taught at TBSHS from 2010 to 2017. Whilst in hospital, suffering from illness, Mr. Solomons passed away of a heart attack three years ago today.

Mr. Solomons was greatly respected by staff and students because of the person he was. For example,  Mr. Solomons inspired students in his teaching. So many former and current students paid their respects at Mr. Solomons' funeral.

In his tribute, Mr. Reeve said: "Mr. Solomons was loved and respected by staff and the sixth form students he worked with and embodied the Black and Gold Spirit."

Mr. Solomons' influence and inspiration remains in all who knew him. Today, we think of Mr. Solomons' family and all students and staff who knew Mr. Solomons.  May they take some comfort in the sure knowledge that Mr. Solomons will always be remembered and will continue to always inspire.

Those we miss in life continually guide and inspire us. We try to continue their work and their legacy as best we can.

"A teacher affects eternity; they can never tell where their influence stops." (Henry James). The same is true for wonderful people.
