Procedure for suspected COVID-19 Cases

If your son/daughter displays any of the symptoms of Covid-19 [a new continuous cough and/or high temperature and/or a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)], please do not send them to school. If you are unsure please call NHS 111 for advice and where to get a test. Please report the test result to


Where students display or complain of the symptoms of Covid-19 in class, the School will follow the procedure below.

  • The student will be removed from the class by a member of the Senior Leadership Team and accompanied to a well ventilated isolation room;
  • Remaining students in class will move to another available room whilst the classroom is deep cleaned;
  • Parents will be called and expected to collect their son/daughter as soon as possible
  • Parents will be given an information sheet on how to obtain a test and the next steps, this can be found here.
  • Advise the School immediately of the test result by forwarding the text/email to even if it is out of hours.
  • If a positive test is confirmed in school, TBSHS will liaise with Public Health England and Hertfordshire County Council and advise parents as required by the risk assessment.
