The 40th annual TBSHS Music Festival came to an end yesterday with an exciting and challenging day of Finals.

Our adjudicator, the world-renowned Classical Guitarist Craig Ogden, was stunned with the high standards of our top musicians in the Advanced category, and very impressed with the Beginners and Intermediate finalists, leaving him a really tough task each time in selecting a winner.

There were three finals yesterday - Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced and the standard of each section were very high, prompting Craig Ogden to remark what wonderful musicians we have in our School!

Skye is in Year 13 and taking Biology, Chemistry and Physics A Levels. Next year she is taking a Gap Year to study electronic music production before taking up her place at the Guildhall to take a four-year music degree which will include composition, production and some performance.

Congratulations to our Musician of the Year 2019 Skye Platts
