TBSHS Headteacher, Dale Reeve, said “It is wonderful to see that, despite the massive changes to the GCSE system over the last two years, our Year 11 students have still achieved fantastic results. Making comparisons with previous year groups is quite tricky, but our initial analysis suggests they have performed incredibly well. They collectively achieved a huge number of grade 8s and 9s, as well as A*s in those subjects still examined the old system, which is absolutely tremendous. It’s extremely pleasing to see that we were able to stretch students at all ability levels and add real value. As ever, our students achieve these great results whilst also taking advantage of our vast extra-curricular programme, and are therefore developing in so many ways. I’d like to congratulate all of the boys for what they have achieved and sincerely thank the staff for their unstinting support of the year group, especially Head of Year, Emma Torry, for the excellent guidance and care she provided over the last three years.”
