Year 11 Pupils presented with Bronze D of E Award

Eleven Year 11 boys were this week, presented with their bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Certificates following a year of tasks and challenges.

The Bronze DofE programme has four sections; Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. pupils must do a minimum of 3 months activity for each of the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections, and plan, train for and do a 2 day (1 night) expedition (plus a practice expedition).

Mr Rawlinson-Mills, Deputy Head of 6th Form and D of E Coordinator said "The boys should be congratulated on receiving their Bronze Awards. It is the culmination of almost two years effort, carried out in conjunction with school work and GCSE Exams. We are very proud of their success and look forward to seeing many of them progress to take the Gold Award in Sixth Form."
