School of Rock – The Musical *** Tickets Now on Sale ***

School of Rock is coming to the TBSHS School this week, and the TBSHS drama department warmly invite you to attend what promises to be a fantastic show.

It is an inspiring production; students have been working tirelessly to produce an evening of superb drama and music.  The cast is made up of students from across all age groups, so we have a wonderful mix of age and experience, all of whom are enthusiastic and passionate for the show to be the best it can be, and for our audience to feel thrilled and uplifted.

Based on the iconic hit movie, the fun musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a supply teacher at a prestigious prep school.

There, he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping mind-blowing rock band.

However, can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without the parents & Headteacher finding out?

Showcasing our own school Pit Band and starring students from all year groups, this production is unmissable!

School of Rock is a production that appeals to all ages, running from 23 & 24th November. There will be a licenced interval bar and refreshments available, so please bring all family members and friends!

Hayley Bart-Williams Subject Leader for Drama, commented, “Rehearsals have been great fun with an animated cast and crew including students from Year 8 right up to Year 13.  The cast have worked tirelessly during dance, singing and acting rehearsals alongside their many and varied commitments both in and outside of school.  Such is the nature of the hectic calendar in the busy life of TBSHS, we have rehearsed in and out of the hall.

Within the last fortnight the school hall has been used for assemblies, lunches, table tennis, lectures, two parent’s evenings and an open evening, but this week it is transformed into a theatre.”

Production Dates - 23rd & 24th November, 7pm
