Tutus, pink tights and tiaras are the order of the day

Once again there are some eye-popping sights to be seen around the 6th form areas of The Bishop's Stortford High School.

Today is 6th Form Charities Day, otherwise known as FairyCaz/Help for Heroes Day - the one day each year when all the usual dress codes vanish, like fairies on the breeze.

Held annually in memory of two former students, Caroline (Caz) Johnstone (2008) and Alex Cheer (2009),  who sadly died whilst in the 6th Form at TBSHS, the day raises funds for Cazfest which was set up in memory of Caroline, and Help for Heroes which was a charity supported by Alex.

Traditionally, the girls dress as army soldiers and the boys as fairies and the whole 6th Form centre is much more colourful than usual!

Other fundraising activites follow during the day, such as the popular "Miss TBSHS" Competition (Don't ask), and an assault course competiton in the Sports Hall during Wednesday's Enrichment time.

It is unique to TBSHS and long may it continue!  (But please - only once a year)
