Earlier this term the Senior Leadership Team spent a week dropping in to lessons specifically to assess the quality of questioning taking place. Questioning is a vital part of lessons, as it encourages students to really think, requires them to engage in their work and contribute to different tasks. We were very impressed with what we observed and have also been able to provide some guidance on how we can improve things further. Next week our 'Learning Walk' will concentrate on the experience of those students in receipt of Pupil Premium Grant support, to ensure their needs are being met.

I am very grateful to our fantastic PTFA who provided a great evening of fun for lots of parents and staff in the form of our Candlelit Ball on Friday. With the hall so beautifully decorated, great food, carol singing and a disco, there was much for our community to enjoy.

Last night's Christmas concert was another superb evening. It was wonderful to see such a huge number of students involved, which created a cracking atmosphere for the packed audience to enjoy. The mega-choir produced an amazing sound, as did so many of our performers, not least the staff choir! Congratulations to every single student who participated, you did a brilliant job.

If you would like to support a school event this Christmas, there are still a small number of tickets available for the two Showcase performances on 15th & 16th December.
