Great commitment

Just as we reach the end of the first half-term of the 2017-18 academic year, I would like to congratulate the many Year 7 boys who have shown a superb attitude and excellent commitment to school rugby since the start of term. With the regular training sessions before and after school and the early start on Saturday mornings, the boys have done incredibly well to keep going and shown some pleasing resilience. Close to 100 boys have already represented the school on the rugby field, with further opportunities to do so after the break.

I must also congratulate the boys and girls who performed so well in last night's Chamber Concert. We heard from the new string ensemble for the first time and a number of students made their TBSHS stage debut, in a very enjoyable evening that provided all of our GCSE and A-Level students with some valuable performance experience.

Well done to all of the students involved in both the rugby and the concert and thank you to all of the staff who, in both cases, gave up so much time to make it possible.

Have a very pleasant half-term break. Regards, Mr Reeve
