Use of mobile phones

Please don't contact your son/daughter directly

During the standards and information evenings held over the last month, we reminded students and parents that students may not use a mobile phone on the school site without specific permission from a member of staff. Students breaking this rule can expect to have their phone confiscated. In this event, it will generally be returned to the student a week hence. Fortunately, the vast majority of students adhere to this rule and therefore do not have their phones confiscated.

I would like to politely ask parents not to attempt to contact their son/daughter via their mobile phone during the school day, this includes text messages. Where phones have been confiscated, students often explain that a parent was trying to contact them. If you do need to communicate with them, please contact the school office. This applies even in the event of an emergency, as the information you wish to share with your son/daughter could potentially cause significant distress or disruption.

Regards,

Mr Reeve
